Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Alfred Pierce — the hosted AI employee service available at alfredpierce.com and app.alfredpierce.com, and through connected messaging integrations (together, the “Service”). By creating a workspace or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are acting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and “you” refers to that organisation.

I.The Service

Alfred Pierce provides an AI agent (“Alfred”) that performs tasks at your direction: he converses with you in messaging applications, keeps memories and standing routines you configure, operates a dedicated cloud workstation for your workspace, and — where you have connected them — acts within third-party services such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Telegram on your behalf.

Admission to the Service is presently by invitation. We may alter, expand, or retire features of the Service as it develops; where a change materially reduces the Service, we will give reasonable notice.

II.Accounts and Workspaces

You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in method secure. You are responsible for activity conducted through your workspace, including instructions given to Alfred by members you admit to it. You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to use the Service.

III.Your Content and Data

You retain all rights to the content you provide to the Service and to the work product Alfred produces for you. You grant us only the licence necessary to host, process, and transmit that content in order to operate the Service. Our handling of personal data, including Google user data, is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

IV.Third-Party Services

Connecting a third-party service (such as Google, Slack, or Telegram) is at your option and subject to that provider's own terms. You authorise us to access the connected service on your behalf solely to carry out your instructions and configured routines, and you may revoke that authorisation at any time — from your dashboard, or directly with the provider. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

V.Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

We may suspend or terminate workspaces engaged in the above, with notice where practicable.

VI.Credits and Billing

Each workspace receives a monthly allowance of credits, refreshed on its anniversary, against which platform-metered usage is drawn. Work funded through your own model subscription is exempt from the credit ledger. Credit allowances carry no cash value, are not redeemable, and expire as described in the Service. Where paid plans are offered, their prices and terms will be stated at the point of purchase.

VII.The Nature of an AI Employee

Alfred is a capable professional, but he is a machine-learning system, and his output may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing his work before relying on it, particularly for legal, financial, medical, or otherwise consequential matters. Instructions you give him — including standing routines that act without further confirmation — are given at your discretion and on your authority.

VIII.Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Alfred's output will be accurate or complete.

IX.Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party shall be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our aggregate liability arising out of the Service shall not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or one hundred US dollars (US $100). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

X.Termination

You may close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service for breach of these Terms, for legal necessity, or upon reasonable notice if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, workspace data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

XI.Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted at this address with an updated effective date, and workspace administrators will be notified by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance.

XII.General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us concerning the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stands. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction in which Alfred Pierce's operating entity is established, under that jurisdiction's law.
